2025 Annual Old Super Tour

As most AROO’ers know, the “Old Super Tour” is the fall counterpart to Spring’s “Old Spider Tour”. This event is open to ALL Alfas (and non-Alfas also!), and we let the Supers lead the event! The tour follows a portion of one of Dave Beach’s adventures, but the first part is being written by our newest Tour Leader, Nic Iaboni. The tour will start at the Fred Meyer Parking Lot in Wilsonville (Map HERE) – be there by 9:15 for a 9:30 start.
Driver’s meeting is at 9:15. The tour leaves at 9:30
The route will head toward Longview, and from there head toward Astoria where it ends. Total distance is about 200 miles and should take about four hours, including a stop near halfway.
Check back here regularly as we will be updating this with specific times (watch for “UPDATED” on the Calendar Page). We also plan to post the route instructions themselves, and Bill’s always-amazing list of seafood restaurants in the Astoria area.

Hello Everyone!
This is a personal invitation to join me and others on the 2025 Old Super Tour on September 27th. This year, the tour will be in memory of Dave Beach, who passed away in November of last year. This tour will follow one of Dave’s best tours, which winds its way along the Columbia River on the Washington side to Astoria. There is also a break spot right before lunch which should have an ice cream store open, which was a staple of Beach’s tour.
I have re-written the beginning of the tour, and it now starts in Wilsonville. There are two quick rest stops and a bring-your-own-lunch in Oregon, as well as two more quick rest stops in Washington. The tour will end in a park in Astoria, and then everyone can split off to restaurants of their choosing. I will attach a copy of Bill Gillham’s recommended list of seafood spots. The tour will depart at 9:30am and should arrive in Astoria around 4pm.
