The 2026 AROO Member’s Car Calendar
…and YOU can be a part of it!
We are trying something new and exciting!
AROO is putting together your photos for a 2026 Calendar.
Submitted calendar photos can be from any time in your Alfa life. Old or new, as long as it’s Alfa Romeo!
BONUS! Come to the August general meeting on August 20 and learn from Dave and others about how to best photograph your car! It doesn’t matter what your camera or phone is, the basics remain the same and that’s what counts. Whether you submit your photos or not, come and learn how to take the best car photos possible! Wednesday, August 20, 6:30pm-9:00 at the Old Spaghetti Factory (MAP).
Here are the Guidelines for submission:
- We prefer that photos are of a car you now own or owned. (We’ll accept family cars like your dad’s, brother’s, wife’s, etc.)
- Each member can submit up to five photos for consideration. Please include any pertinent info about your car.
- Photo can be in any digital format – .jpg, .png, .raw, etc
- Non-digital photos, slides or prints, will need to be hand delivered to Tom Gammons or David, or mailed directly to David. Slides need your name printed on them and prints should have your name on a sticky or post-it on the back. All slides and prints will be returned.
- Use any device to take the photo, phone or camera, etc. However, the photo needs to be at least 2Mb in size. Note that any modern camera or phone takes photos larger than that.
- If you are shooting, photos should be taken in “landscape” or a horizontal mode – that is, it should be wider than tall.
- The setting, placement and detail of your photo(s) is up to you. You don’t have to shoot the entire car or place the car in the center of the frame. Interesting car parts like grills are good too.
- While you can use props, keep the car as the subject. And of course, nothing overly personal or offensive.
- If needed, we can crop, straighten, lighten, darken, or enhance photos for their best appearance. (If you do not want them changed in any way, note that with the submission).
How to submit:
- All photos are best submitted digitally. If you have slides or prints that you want to submit, please email Dave . Dave can digitize them for you. See guideline #4.
- To submit photos, send an email to Steve Davis HERE. Steve will send back a link to a location where you can upload your photos. Instructions for uploading will be included. This is being done to protect your privacy: only you and the judges will have access to your photos.
- In your email, please include a brief description of your car and the date & setting. We will keep the email with your photos.
- Deadline!! All submissions must be completed no later than midnight, Sunday, October 19th!
