Bill Gillham is your tour guide for another adventure through the twisty-turny’s of Western Oregon as he leads this year’s Old Spider Tour. The Tour is open to ALL Alfas (not just Spiders!), and is one of the most fun driving events of the year.  The routes that Bill and Marion create are fun, tight, fast and very beautiful. The ultimate end-point of the tour is Cape Mears Lighthouse “on the Beach” so we can honor our friend Dave Beach, one more time.

Here are the details:

  • Date: Saturday, May 24
  • Location to Meet: Santiam Southbound Rest Stop off I-5 Note that you can take the Northbound exit and there is a road that loops under I-5 to the Southbound side.
  • Time: Meet at 9:30 AM. Driver’s meeting at 9:50. The tour will depart at 10:00 AM. It will probably finish sometime around 1:30-1:45 PM, and there will be a rest-stop about halfway through.
  • The tour route is HERE – click to download and bring with you.  In the printout there are also locations for fuel and great seafood restaurants along the coast.  Lunch is on your own; either bring a picnic, or choose one of the restaurants from Bill’s list
