October 4 & 5 – Three Options – Read below!!

Cost – hotels and meals on your own

The Fall AROO Tour is planned for Oct. 4-5. Heading to the coast again, but the destination is Newport. You can join this tour three ways!

Option 1: Departing at 8:30 AM from Pioneer Park in Stayton (450 N. 7th Ave), the morning drive includes a number of Oregon’s historic covered bridges and ends up in Corvallis for lunch around noon.  Fall colors should be visible along the route.

Option 1 + 2: After lunch, the second drive takes us to Newport where we arrive around 4:15, early enough to enjoy a walk on the beach or, if you must, return home by dark.

Option 1 + 2 + 3:  Relax after the day’s drive and stay the night on the coast with friends.  After a walk on the beach, join the group for an informal happy hour at the hotel followed up with dinner.   Planned lodging is the Best Western Agate Beach with suggested alternatives  being Little Creek Cove or Moolock Shores. 

Depending on the number staying, dinner will be at either Clearwater’s on the bay or Newport Brewing.

Sunday drive home is on your own, allowing you to sleep in, explore Newport and/or cruise the Oregon Coast as you wish.
