Daemke / Piacentini Shop Tour and Swap Meet – UPDATED

Bob Piacentini and Bill Daemke have been planning an incredible day at their shop!  Here’s Bob’s invitation:

Bill and I have been planning the 4th Annual garage tour and swap meet at The Alfa Farm.

This is on the same morning as “Italian Day” at Portland Cars and Coffee and we have scheduled the beginning of our event to provide time for anyone wishing to attend that event to also attend this event.

RSVP isn’t necessary this year – just show up, or drive over from Cars & Coffee!

Featured guest speakers include Amy and Alex Haugland from Eugene who have an amazing car collection with over 200 cars. They will bring one of their recently acquired cars and talk about making Youtube videos for their increasingly popular channel called Everyday2Exotic. AROO’s Steve Davis will present his gorgeous Alfetta restomod. I’ve asked Larry Vollum to bring one of his interesting cars and talk a bit about it. We are still planning to ask Jack Suter to briefly discuss one year of ownership of his amazing Sprint Speciale.  Bill and I will show the progress on my Tipo 184 homage to the legendary Alfetta 158/159 race car.  www.tipo184.com

As for the swap meet..  Sellers – please be at the shop no later than 9:30 to set up.  We may have tables (maybe not) so your stuff may end up on the ground, so bring a groundcover if you want.  Also, please consider donating a portion of your proceeds to AROO. Last year, mostly from the parts donations from Keith Martin, we were able to raise $600.00 for the club. 

10:00 to 10:30 AM is the arrival time.  Please bring $10 cash to cover the chair rental, drinks, etc..  Attendees will receive a key chain measuring tape or similar souvenir which will have a raffle number on it. Bill’s friend, Wes Ferguson has committed to sponsor $250.00 for the pizza and perhaps more for these souvenirs. Wes is an insurance agent and will give a short introduction to his association with Hagerty Insurance during the pizza lunch.

• 10:00 – Attendees arrive
• 10-11:15 – Swap Meet
• 11:30 – Lunch arrives
• 12:00 – Program starts
  • Welcome by Bob and Bill – how rest of the day will go – prize drawings throughout the day
  • Bill – thanks to Wes (State Farm/Hagerty) and thanks for his donation
  • Bill/Bob – talk about 184 Alfetta Re-creation
  • Alex/Amy Haugland – talk about their collection and filming “Everyday2Exotic”
  • Steve Davis – talk about his Alfetta Restomod
  • Other speaker(s) as invited
• 2:30-3:00 – Bob & Frank Piacentini will be available to chat about any of the cars in the shop including Bob’s recent Forest Grove Concours winning VW Type 34 Karmann Ghia
