Vintage Underground and Haugland Collection Tour Wrapup

On Sunday, November 17 2025, about 30 local Alfisti met up at the Vintage Underground buildings in Eugene for a tour.

The tour was very well run, and started in the main shop where most of the mechanical and assembly work is done.  Then after a short drive we met up at the body / paint buildling to see even more amazing projects in progress, including a 60s Maserati that was involved in a garage fire, and a Ferrari 250.

The third stop was at the upholstery shop where we admired a vintage Rolls Royce that was getting a complete restoration, as well as a well loved Triumph TR6, and more.

THe final stop before lunch was at the new machine shop that has been cleaned up and organized, according to folks that knew the previous owners!

The only hiccup in the day was our lunch plans.  The restauarant was not prepared for 30 people to show up at once, even though we had warned them.  We made the best of it by drinking lots of coffee and tea, and bench racing and getting to know new friends.  Next time we will order lunch in to speed things up.

After lunch, most of us headed over to tour the Haugland collection.  I had a date with my kid who’s a freshman at U of O so I had to miss the Haugland tour, so if anybody has any photos I’d be happy to share them.

I’m looking forward to another tour next year, and hopefully I will finally get to see the Haugland collection.
